Anthology
I call this an anthology, but really it is a photo album. Each piece captures a time and place - personally, professionally, emotionally. Most have been published; all have been shared in one way or another. Several have backstories, which I’ve included at the end of the pieces themselves.
Let Martha Washington do as she pleases
Martha Washington, who, upon her husband’s death, burned decades worth of the letters they wrote each other.
Sometimes I wish my bed were my own
Joe and me in California, 1982, the year before we married.
Cold cuts, pastries, funerals
Yet another family dinner, with Uncle Harry at the veeeeeeery end of the table.
