Super Ego
I am Siggy Freud, the Super Ego of psychiatry, and this is my podcast: “You are an ID-iot.”
Ask a question, and if you a subscriber, I answer it.
Today’s question:
Can you explain what you mean by the term Super Ego?
The Super Ego is like a Supersize Meal at McDonalds. Three cheeseburgers drenched in mayo, ketchup and mustard, with a side of extra-large fries and a gallon of coke. In other words, it’s for people like you who have a death wish, as well as a big Ego.
What is an Ego, you ask?
Your Ego is your sense of self, how important you think you are.
A person who has a Super Ego is Superman, who thinks he looks good in tights and has arthritis, which means he can no longer leap off buildings in a single bound. He needs a crane.
Luckily for him, McDonald’s includes cranes in their Happy Meals.
Enough about Super Egos. You have made me super-tired. Until next time, I am Siggy Freud — and you are an ID-iot.
